Anniversary Photos at the Placerville Airport - Char and Tony, travel lovers
“Airports are like a second home to us. We are Volunteers and Destination Wedding Photographers so this photo session felt very comfy....even in those rad ...yes I said RAD...( We are from the 1900's) shoes!!”- Char and Tony
Char came to me with an airport vision and I was over the moon to photograph it! I love when couples personalize their photoshoots to places or ideas that are special to them. Char and Tony are constantly on the road or traveling, so this was the perfect way to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
So how did these two travel enthusiasts meet?! They were at a party and Tony asked Char to dance. Char requested to dance to "Sweet Fantasy,” a Mariah Carey song. Even now, every time the song plays, they exchange glances. Mariah, thanks for bringing them together 25 years later.
Char and Tony are also destination photographers! Although, it can feel unnatural to have a camera in your face, when you’re used to being behind it, they were total rockstars and dove right into their photoshoot.
Fun facts:
Their home is a small, mobile house.
They were born in California but raised in New York. Their demeanor has an easy-going west coast vibe, so their conversations often sound like debates or arguments, when in reality, they're simply chatting. They're always taken aback when others ask if they're fighting, to which they reply, "No, we're just New Yorkers talking."
They have been together since they were teenagers! They are best friends and travel companions. “Traveling and volunteering together keeps the spark.”
Too much of anything is bad, unless it's champagne.
Thank Char and Tony for trusting me with your photoshoot!
