Elm Estate Wedding | Colleen and Zach
Colleen and Zach’s celebration was so much fun to document! Something that stood out was how thoughtful they were with their guests' experience. Guests were immediately welcomed with his and her drinks for the ceremony, live music at cocktail hour, delicious food, a live painter during the reception, doggy treats for the guests to take home to their fur babies, and In-N-Out meals to fuel the party until the late hours. Even though I knew about most of the details, I felt the surprised energy along with everyone!
Enjoy a peek of their wedding!
The wedding aesthetic was elevated ethereal, filled with florals.
Advice to future couples who are currently planning their wedding:
“Enjoy every minute of it and celebrate the little/big things. Booking a vendor you love should be celebrated. It can be stressful at times but trying to find the joy and excitement in each step some advice we received and cherished throughout the planning process.” -C & Z
The Ceremony
What were your favorite moments from your wedding?
“EVERYTHING. I seriously cannot pick. Celebrating with all our friends and family is unforgettable.” - C & Z
“We lived in Spokane WA at the same time but never met each other, we attended the same places and even concerts. It wasn't until we independently moved to Reno that we met. We both loves sports, particularly hockey and are San Jose Sharks fans.”
Wedding tip: give yourself time to do a private first-look of the reception. It’s such a treat to see the space and vision fully come together before guests are invited in.
“Our goals are to never stop dating each other and putting one another first. To support each other in our ambitions, careers, and hopefully one day raise a family. We want to spend our first year of marriage traveling and enjoying each other and our two puppies.”
Tell me about your honeymoon or any future travel plans!
“We went to Cabo for our honeymoon Monday after the wedding. We relaxed at the resort and played one of the nicest golf courses I have ever been to. Golfing is something we love to do together. Originally, we were supposed to go to Maui, but the recent disaster changed our plans last minute. Cabo is one of our favorite places, so we got to enjoy being together in a beautiful, fun place. We recently traveled to Europe and are itching to go back! Hopefully, sometime next year we will be able to explore more, on the list is the French Riviera and Spain.”
“The friends and family who attended our wedding are what truly made it so special. Flowers, decor, food, music all help the experience but getting to share the day with the friends and family who mean the most to us was the most special aspect. We cannot thank everyone enough for toughing out some temperamental weather and choosing to take time out of their busy schedules to celebrate this next chapter with us. To say we feel loved is an understatement, we have THE best people in our lives.”
