Dancing Pines Wedding | Molly and Matt
"The wedding day was pure magic and it went by too fast. But we couldn't have dreamed of such a perfect day without all our friends and family who worked so hard to help make it a reality. Our parents, who helped with the most minute details like our printing, setting up the memorial table, and bringing my wedding dress from the East Coast. Molly's aunt Meg, who baked our wedding cake in Hawaii, brought it with her to Tahoe, and then saved it from a curious brown bear who tried to steal it from their garage (true story). Matt's cousin, Danielle, who guided us throughout the entire process of wedding planning. Matt's sister, who hand embossed 400 cocktail napkins with our names. Molly's uncle Max and her cousin Abbie, who sang a beautiful mele (song) during her wedding hula for Matt. Molly's sister and her in-laws who traveled all the way from Ireland to be with us and helped us every day with the smallest little details, like putting together our menus and setting up signs for our shuttles. Molly's brothers, Ben and Jacob, who helped transport all the alcohol to and from Reno (they had a lot of fun with that job - despite the mystery of the missing vermouth). It was a complete team effort and there aren't enough words in the English language to explain how very much we love and appreciate our tribe." - Molly and Matt
The vibe is garden party meets aloha spirit.
Fun facts about Molly & Matt:
We met our freshman year of college but didn't start dating until our senior year. Becoming friends first made our relationship that much stronger. Also - fun fact, Matt was Molly's first kiss :)
Dancing Pines is one of Lake Tahoe's most unique outdoor wedding venues. Nestled on a secluded twenty-acre property along the banks of the Little Truckee River, its simple and elegant design provides the perfect canvas for any couple's dream wedding.
Favorite moments:
“There are so many to choose from! Seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle and being surrounded by so much love and support from our friends and family. Having everyone there all together was the most amazing feeling.” - M&M
“We're so excited to really start planning our life together. First and foremost, our goal is to support one another. Whatever life may bring, we will be there to help carry the load. And then eventually, a house might be nice.” - M&M

“We're going to Vietnam in December and we can't wait! Now that the wedding is done we're excited to start planning our itinerary.” - M&M
Advice to future couples who are currently planning their wedding:
“Don't sweat the small things - at the end of the day, everyone is excited to celebrate you and is there to support you both. Also, be ready to prioritize. Schedules get set back, things go awry, and you should be ready to make decisions about what is most important to you. Prioritize staying in the moment and being with the people you love and I promise you won't have any regrets! And finally, the most important advice we can give to anyone planning a wedding - hire Elsa to be your photographer. It will be the best decision you ever made, trust us!” - M&M
Oh my gawd. Crying at this. I adore you two!! - Your photog
I absolutely loved how present Molly and Matt were in each moment. We even missed the sunset photos, but there are so many captured moments that more than make up for it.
