Twenty Mile House Wedding in April | Merrill & Jayson
"Our wedding was better than we could have possibly imagined, and that was because of all our loved ones making the journey to come celebrate with us, or send us well wishes for those there in spirit."- M & J
Merrill and Jayson are so freaking cool, talented, amazing, loving, sweet, [insert all words that make an incredible human], etc. They have a contagious calming presence to them and their passion for life doesn’t go unnoticed.
We had an engagement session prior to the wedding and I knew after hanging out with them that the wedding would be nothing short of amazing.
I’m so honored they chose me to document their wedding! I’d do it again and again, in a heartbeat. Enjoy a peak of their wedding!
Merrill and Jayson’s wedding took place at Twenty Mile House in April and the weather was perfect. It had rained a little in the morning, which made for some beautiful saturated tones.
"We were able to make a weekend out of our wedding and stay at the venue Thursday - Sunday. This really allowed time to hang out with some of our friends/family aside from the actual wedding, which can be somewhat of a blur. Also, with the planning process, make decisions and stick with them/move on to the next. We had a short planning period so this wasn't a challenge for us, but I imagine with a longer planning period you might be tempted to revisit decisions a lot."
Getting Ready Moments
Jayson taking a dip in the freezing cold river. Just normal pre-ceremony action…
Pre-Ceremony w/Merrill was a lot warmer
“The ceremony itself. It was so meaningful and personalized. As soon as it was over, I wanted to rewind and do it all again.”
The Ceremony
Tequila shots at the end of the aisle should be on everyones wedding list!
Fun facts about Merrill & Jayson: “We both play music (I sing and plays guitar; Jayson plays the banjo). We are animal lovers, and currently reside with 2 golden retrievers and a pet snake. Jayson teaches first grade and I work from home in the clinical research field.”
One of their favorite moments was the first dance…
“Our friend and Jayson's best man performed a song I had written for Jayson. It was such a special moment.”
The dessert table (insert a million heart eyes).
Future plans: “We're pregnant! So that is the immediate future. Baby (boy or girl???) due in August 2019.”
