Sunnyside Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography | Lauren and Jon
“Despite all of the challenges and uncertainties we faced with planning our wedding because of COVID, it was all worth it at the end of the day. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and one we will never forget. We are so grateful for all of our family and friends that made the day that much more special and to our amazing vendors that made it all possible.”
I absolutely adore Lauren and Jon! I loved how they were both completely present in the moment throughout the day. This made documenting their interactions and relationships effortless (and a lot of fun)!
I’m so excited to share a tiny peek of their big day. Let’s start from the beginning…
They had their first look at the sunnyside dock.
Fun Facts:
“We were dating for 8 years before we got married”
“We just bought a home together in Oakland, CA where Jon grew up as a child, we are foodies and love to cook and explore new restaurants “
“We are a dream team together in the kitchen”
“ Jon is a dedicated sports fan and loves to cheer on his Bay Area sports teams (49ers, A's, and Warriors) - Lauren now loves sports too.”

Advice to couples planning a wedding:
Before the wedding- Be flexible in the planning process and don't get caught up in the little hiccups along the way, make a list of 3-5 parts/aspects of your wedding that are most important to you and plan your wedding around these priorities.
Get to know your vendors- they are essential to making your wedding day possible so building a good relationship with them prior to the wedding is so important.
On the wedding day- if you are doing your own vows I highly recommend reading them to your partner on the morning of the wedding, it is a really special personal moment and it takes a lot of pressure of reading them to each other in for the first time in a front of crowd.
Take 5 minutes during your reception to take a step back from your wedding to take it all in.”

So what does the future hold for Lauren and Jon?
“As first-time homeowners our immediate goal is to make our new house feel like our home. We can't to start a family soon and grow our family in Oakland. We are both very driven people and want to continue to excelling in our careers together.”
