Galena Creek Hatchery Wedding | Reno, NV | Elsa Boscarello Photography
From the moment we had our initial consultation I knew Julie and Paul would be one of my favorite couples to document this year. They have a welcoming energy and are lovers of the outdoors. I can’t ask for more!
Julie and Paul met when she came for an internship in Reno. On their third date they went to see Vance Joy (I’ve been DYING to see him live), he of course played Riptide, which is now their special song. Paul asked Julie to marry him in the same place he first told her he loved her. They’ve been together for 2 1/2 years and have so many more adventures to come in the near future. They’re hoping to take a few weeks in Europe and due to Julie's job they’ll probably end up exploring Alaska, Hawaii, and the east coast next year. In the mean time they enjoy cooking at home while using their home grown veggies. They also take Osker, their dog, on plenty of walks (he loves the snow and mountains as much as Julie and Paul do).
Scroll down to see a peak of what their BEST DAY EVER looked like.
Julie is from Idaho Falls and Paul was born and raised in Nevada. She is passionate about cooking, reading, and camping. He plays bass guitar in a band, he loves to hike, camp, and play disc golf. Hobbies also include giving plenty of attention to Osker (keep scrolling down to see a picture of their adorable dog using the photo stand during the party).
Their day started with a small morning ceremony at Lady of Wisdom and then they both split ways to get ready. Julie and her bridesmaids got ready at the Grand Sierra Resort. It was a very relaxing environment: good company, wine, and a lot of excitement.
Paul and Julie decided to do a first look before their second ceremony. A first look is when the bride and groom see each other before the wedding ceremony. They get a few moments to be alone and let it all sink in. This is the perfect way to give you a breather and take a moment to remember what’s really important on your wedding day-eachother!
The second ceremony took place right outside the Galena Creek Hatchery.
We made sure to take a few minutes to take some portraits before sunset.
They enjoy playing hacky sack, so we of course had to get a few frames of it!
Galena Creek Hathchery was the perfect spot for their wedding! Their wedding had a woodsy (is that even a word?) aesthetic. Check out the tones and colors that tied it all together!
Their was even a photo stand equipped with hilarious props. Even Osker got in on the action.
One more thing before the party started-...dessert!
Then it was PARTY TIME!!!!
Julie and Paul thank you for letting me document your best day ever. I hope it’s everything you dreamed it would be!
