Ashley & Wes | Desert Maternity Photos | Reno, NV

"We met through a mutual friend. It was a blind date set up while I was vacationing in San Francisco (I was living in Oregon at the time going to school). And we stayed in contact after that weekend- the rest is history..."- Ashley

A few fun facts:

Ashley was a total rockstar hiking up these hills.  I can't imagine how difficult it was carrying a little human but she didn't complain at all. The views and the scene were definitely worth it. 

Ashely is a sucker for country. Her current obsession is Brent Cobb. Needless to say I had some country music playing in the background. 

Ashley and West love their super cute pups and going on road trips.

Style: Desert Maternity/Couples Session

About the Session: Ashley and Wes's maternity session was planned months in advance. They traveled from Hollister, CA to visit family in Nevada City and to have their maternity photos taken. Having a desert aesthetic wasn't necessarily the plan. We went back and forth with possible locations (due to unknown weather and snow conditions) this was chosen last minute. Like a-day-before-last-minute and it was SO perfect. The light was stunning and the tones and hues were absolutely beautiful. These were taken on the outskirts of Reno, NV a couple of hours before sunset. Surprisingly we got incredible weather and the most beautiful golden light. I don't do many maternity session but after documenting Ashley and Wes I'm stoked to do more.
