American Canyon Wedding | Mehndi (Pakistani Style) + Traditional Bengali Ceremony (Hindu)
“We are very lucky to have made it this far and we want to thank everyone who has wished us well and stood by us! It's not easy for people to accept our religious & cultural differences and we understand "to each his own". We have chosen Love & Respect for each other to be our guide in this journey together. We want to be remembered as "two people who lived their lives in love..... in spite of all the differences and hatred in this world”- Raj and Aneela
Raj and Aneela had a three-day weekend extravaganza, and it was absolutely incredible! We’ve been in touch for a long time and met at their engagement session in Yosemite, but due to COVID, they had to pause in their original plan, so by the time their wedding celebration came along, it was felt like we were long time friends. I can’t begin to express how sweet and welcoming Raj and Aneela are. They are definitely a unicorn of a couple that have so much love and respect for everyone they cross paths with. The worst part of their wedding is that it’s over. Raj and Aneela, I can't thank you enough for inviting me into your world and letting me be a part of it for three incredible days.
For everyone else... enjoy a tiny peek of their best weekend ever!!
The three-day weekend extravaganza started with a Mehndi party.
Day Two
“The weather forecast was rain on Saturday and we were a little worried about the wedding ceremony. We woke up early and saw this beautiful sunrise over the hills and the weather couldn't be more perfect, the ceremony was amazing under the blue sky.”
Advice to future couples who are currently planning their wedding:
“Oh Boy! from our experience it feels like... the planning takes forever and when The day comes everything is over in a flash. Plan ahead and pick the right people for the events (that takes the stress away) and when the time comes enjoy every moment and have fun. Don't forget its "Your Day""
“Seeing Aneela in her bridal attire was surreal, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.”
“I couldn't take my eyes of Aneela.... she looked like a princess!”-Raj
Day Three
“We still have to remind ourselves that we are Married! We are crazy about our "little boy" (fur baby).
Fun Facts:
We both like to binge watch our favorite shows.
Yosemite is our "Bliss" and we go there at every chance we get.
“We had a crazy storm on Sunday and it didn't stop raining for a minute but once we entered the tent and saw all the faces of our friends and family there to support us we forgot the weather and partied on till Midnight.”
What’s next for Raj and Aneela?
We just bought a house and we want to travel together (visit a new Country every year) start a family soon (we already have a fur baby) and work on building our partnership and work together at whatever life throws at us. We are very lucky to have found each other and we don't want to take anything for granted.
We are planning our Honeymoon in March/April (fingers crossed) to Europe! We want to visit Greece,France & Switzerland. Later in the year if all is well then we want to visit India (it will be the first time for Aneela) and meet Raj's mom and brother who couldn't make it to our wedding due to Travel restrictions.
Thank you for choosing me to be part of your big day!- Your Third Wheel ;)
