I've known Alyson and Travis for a couple of years now, and I just adore them! I was pulled in last minute by their wedding planner (Whimsey Events) to photograph their wedding during the pandemic last year, and they were an absolute dream to work with. I'm so thrilled we were able to connect. Being their third wheel was a breeze! The wedding was an absolute dream and we continued our relationship post-wedding during their album design phase. Seeing their wedding photos in print was a big highlight for me. The colors looked stunning. Together we designed a fine art album and they surprised their parents with a copy as well! Fast forward to this year, where we were on a time crunch to fit their maternity photos during the wildest fire season we've ever seen. There were countless amounts of closures and our options were very limited in the Tahoe area. We finally locked down a spot only to be shut down the morning of by a sign that said the area was closed. My heart dropped. Alyson and Travis don't live in the area and were already making an early drive to get to our designated spot, thankfully there was a little corner of Tahoe that was open and it's better than I could've ever imagined their photos to turn out. The skies were clear from the smoke, and they got this incredible dynamic light that really brought out the blue hues in the lake. We balanced the gallery with some photos in the meadows. At the end of the day, everything worked out. We've come to accept that a bit of chaos works for us ;)
